A book titled ‘Telangana Vaadula Nootokka Abadhaalu’ (Hunded and one lies of Telangana protagonists) was released by the ‘Visalandhra Maha Sabha’ here on Tuesday. The book was written by S Chakravarti.
Visalandhra leader Parakala Prabhakar, Prime Minister’s former adviser Sanjay Baru and others participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Baru said though Telangana sentiment was prevailing in the region, bifurcation of the state was not a solution. Stating that he did not either support or oppose the content of the book, he said in a democracy every one has a right to express views. He said several persons sent him e-mail messages not to attend the programme. Still he chose to attend it, despite the pressures, he added. He said there was need for every one to read book and understand facts and tell others about the realities. He also said there was need for a study on the backwardness of the Telangana region.
